A Pogrom
In this case not targeted at Jews but, an apt description of the Ukraine of 2022.
A pogrom is a violent riot incited with the aim of massacring or expelling an ethnic or religious group, particularly Jews. The Slavic term originally entered the English language as a descriptive term for 19th- and 20th-century attacks on Jews that occurred in the Russian Empire. Source: Wikipedia
Los Angeles Has Relocated
The City of Los Angeles is estimated to have a population of 3.9 million as of 2020. In the first 35 days of the war in Ukraine, 3.5 million refugees have been displaced.
Men, Women, children, the elderly, all evacuating under horrible circumstances. Families without a home do not know if they will ever be able to return to their country.

Think about the forced relocation the size of the combined peoples of Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas. The forced movement of all Chicago and San Francisco residents in a 30 day period. No pre-planning, no idea of where one will work, live or send children to school.
At the time of this writing, President Biden has arrived in Poland and will give a major address tomorrow, a Saturday.
Once again, I fear that we are on the verge of WW3. Yet, I have no solution for resolving the situation and stopping the atrocities without force. Diplomacy and sanctions, although practical, are too slow to coerce and correct the enemies' actions.
Pray for peace.

Native Angelino description found on iTunes:
“From a vantage point within sight of the Hollywood Sign, seated beneath a palm tree, Tom Levine takes you on a twisted, exploratory tour of popular thought, the upside-down theories of classical economics, politics, and other strange things.
Tom talks all things Los Angeles, bright new ideas, and complex topics of interest to creative thinkers and discerning skeptics.
L.A. locals state with pride, "You can surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon." Well, if you get a really early start, it's true. Sometimes.
Los Angeles is the City of the Angels, and Tom Levine is a Native Angelino”.
